Pick up Lightning from Kingston South Australia

September 2007, Vic and I have bought an Arion Lightning kit. On the 20-21st of August we brought it back from Kingston, South Australia and started work on it. So far we have sanded and filled the fuselage, fitted the wings (and removed them) and fitted the tail plane. The elevators, rudder, wing box and many other parts are now on.

Unloaded and in the hangar and sorting out the parts
Fitting the rear windows, was a fun job, curving the perspex, used staflex to fix them in, and glassed up and sanded the edges.
Sanding up tail, as you can see it is crowded in our hangar
Wing box and rudder pedals, this was an easy job in the end.  Took a couple of days to fit wings, need to read the instructions better!
Rudder pedal assembly, very neat rudder adjustment and so simple
First fit of the instrument panel
Fire wall and engine mount, should see it now with all the other parts on it
Luggage area
Fitting canopy.  This job took some time working up the courage to start, in the end it took a day to fit
Fitting seat bases after much cutting and fibreglass

October 2007, I am currently working on the trim system, canopy (on and working), undercarriage and instrument panel is waiting on final instruments. Seats are in and I will soon be starting on the interior.

December 2007, the interior is nearly finished, the instrument panel is done, just waiting on the wiring, the motor installation is nearly complete including exhaust system and I am waiting on quotes for the painting. Next job is to finish the fuselage and start on the wings.
