 The big news this month is that we have a second J160 in our school.  This aircraft is x-hired from Rob Piper and is only slightly newer than 4497 which means that it is nearly identical to 4497.  So those of you who have their Pilot Certificates and want to private hire we have an aircraft for you, rego is 24-4702.

Annual Graduation Dinner.  This year because the Aero Club will be celebrating its 60 birthday I decided to run our own Graduation Dinner.  I asked Geoff White from DTK Microlights to join in.  The dinner will be held at Zanella Estate winery just outside of Traralgon on the Glengarry Road.  Date 1^st August at 7.00pm.  The winery suggested that they would set an area aside for us.  Meals can be ordered from the menu;  this means that you can spend as much or as little as you like, so I can not give you a cost.  Drinks are available at the bar. During the course of the evening Geoff and I will be handing out certificates.  There is also a 1 man band to provide background music and dancing.   Names on board for numbers please.

Level 1 maintainer's course.  The course has taken place and on Saturday 42 people came along and Sunday morning there was a short course for level 2s, 9 attended for the level 2 course.  I would like to thank Keith and Carol for running the course giving those who attended many things to look out for and fix in both Jabiru and Rotax engines.  I would also like to thank my wife Janet and Penny for providing the good food for lunch and morning tea.

To find us, turn right immediately after going through the main gate at the airport.  We are at the end of the dirt road, near the threshold of runway 21.  Our new hangar is bigger, better, has more light and is user friendly.
